From 9 October to 9 November 2025, Surrounded by Criminals, a photo exhibition by Nicolas Wieërs (founder of BALKAN TRAFIK), invites visitors to delve into the little-known world of the Vory v Zakone, the ‘thieves in law’ of the former Soviet Union.

Through their tattooed bodies, the exhibition reveals the journeys and stories of these marginalised men in six unusual locations in Brussels, forming a trail : the AGORA room at the Bourse ; the NATHALIE AUZEPY L’impératrice studio ; the MUE Tattoo Shop and Inksane Tattoo & Piercing tattoo parlours ; Le Poste, a third place located in the former barracks on Place du Jeu de Balle ; and the Brussels Tattoo Convention at Tour & Taxis.
